Congratulations to the new Woodlands Township Board of Directors. As the new Woodlands Township Board of Directors plans for the upcoming legislative season, it’s important to let them know that the citizens of The Woodlands DON’T support DRAMATIC property tax increases from rushed incorporation. According to the Township's own September 23, 2016 staff report, if we get state law amended on the use of hotel bed tax money, our Township property taxes will still increase 50% if we incorporate in the near-term. This doesn't make any sense! Learn more here: bit.ly/2fxzf3r ... See MoreSee Less

William J. TaylorWhere can one obtain the true facts about incorporation? How can the facts be verified? Reason for questions is that I've seen & read too many stories and contradicting allegations on both sides of the issue.

Brad GoberI'd rather pay the increase to have our own rules, services and control than to be annexed by Houston and have little to no say in what goes on in The Woodlands!

Elias ChiricoThe Woodlands Concerned Taxpayers i have few questions: What was the property value used to calculate $53K in tax over the 40 year? So, is the annexation unavoidable fact anyway? Where did the 70% number come from? Best

Stephen BerryHow can Tea Party backed candidates support something that would be a massive increases in our taxes? We don't need any studies, just do a Google search on nearby cities and see their tax rates versus ours. Ours...23 cents on $100, theirs .42+. Conroe, Frisco, Sugarland, Katy...take your pick.
